Q: What was it like filming with Sung Yoobin (성유빈)?
A: He had never linked arms with a girl in his life, and she was leading him in most of the scenes. Even though it looks good in the music video it was very awkward for them.

– They like the style of SF9 and all girl groups.

Thunder (천둥)

Thunder was in the Kpoppin’ studio for Be My Super Star with DJ Isak. Thunder (천둥) is a solo artist that debuted in 2009 as a member of MBlaq. He is currently under Mystic Entertainment / Apop Entertainment (미스틱엔터테인먼트 / 에이팝엔터테인먼트).

Tidbits::
– His studio is like a board game cafe. Games are spread out everywhere.
– There are six different version of ‘ringxiety’ that he created while trying to create the perfect ‘ringxiety’ song.
– He is technically the leader of his production crew Lighthouse. The big con is dealing with the complaints of the crew and the member mood swings.
– Thunder feels as if his age is catching up to him.
– He prefers to be complimented on his singing rather than his songs.
– He spends a lot of time rewatching animations he watched when he was younger.
– Thunder spends lots of time watching YouTube videos.
– He did the interview in Korean because he wanted to say a lot of things. He does speak English because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to be as detailed as he wanted to be.
– Thunder has made a sing with the intention of singing it with his sister. Nothing has been discussed as of yet.
– He says he is not good at using the Internet. He likes to check in on how the songs he has given to others are going, and read the comments, but he has a hard time finding the comments.
– Most of the time his phone is on silent, and when it’s not on silent he uses the default ringtone.
– Thunder would like to go to Peru, or Hawaii for his honeymoon.
– He doesn’t want to be reborn as his sisters older brother. He likes being the baby of the family.

Q: How did ‘Ringxiety’ come to life?
A: They laid the track first, and loved it. Then he started thinking about what to do in terms of concept. He saw the word ‘ringxiety’ and thought it was interesting and went with it.

Q: What kind of song is ‘Ringxiety’?
A: ‘Ringxiety’ is about thinking the phone is ringing even though it’s really not. It’s about missing an ex and wishfully thinking they are calling. It is a retro synth-pop song.

pH-1

pH-1 was in the Kpoppin’ studio for Be My Super Rookie with DJ Isak. pH-1 (박준원 Park Joonwon) debuted in 2016 under Higher Music Records (하이어뮤직레코즈).

Tidbits::
– If he could go back in time he’d like to go back to his early 20s.
– He is fluent in English and is from New York.
– ‘Donut’ was picked for the title album because he felt it was the most relatable to people.
– He would like to collaborate with Big Sean and TyDolla$.
– He likes Red Velvet especially Irene.

Q & A::
Q: What can you tell us about your first EP, ?
A: He wanted to convey two different emotion blessed and lonely. He wanted to use this Ep to tell people who Ph-1 is, not just his musical flavors.

Q: How do you make your music?
A: He doesn’t listen to the demo too much. For him, the picture that the songs put in his head for a first impression is very important. For instance the demo for ‘Cuckoo’ put the sound and image of the korean rice cooker in his head. So, he wrote the song about how he doesn’t know how to use it, because he doesn’t have time to figure it out, because he is always on his grind.

ZSun (지선) & Big Shot (빅샷)

Big Shot and ZSun were in the SoundK studio for You Who Came from the Stars with DJ Leah. Big Shot (빅샷) is a hip-hop artist that debuted in 2007 and is currently under AAP (All Around Playerz). ZSun (지선) is a female solo artist that debuted in 2017 under AAP (All Around Playerz).

Tidbits::
– Big Shot is also known Don Marco (돈 마르꼬) and his real name is Ahn Woojin (안우진).
– Big Shot is fluent in Spanish.
– ZSun would like to go overseas and do a dance workshop. She’ll be going to Sweden soon to fulfill this dream.
– Big Shot would like to find a girl by the end of the year, and build up some muscle.
– ZSun originally debuted as a dancer. She is well known on YouTube for her dancing.
– Big Shot started rapping in Korean underground in 2003.
– ZSun’s hobby in high school was weight lifting. Now it’s boxing.
– Big Shot started working at a radio station when he was 16.
– ZSun taught KARD when they were trainees. She really likes the dance hall style of music.
– Big Shot likes to travel and do the tourist checklist. He would like to take his parents to Switzerland, because he really liked it when he went there before.
– Big Shot wants to learn more about Korea, so, he wants to travel around to places he’s never been.
– ZSun likes a guy with some rhythm, can cook, and can take care of her.

Q: What was your first impression of each other?
A: His first impression of ZSun was that she was a cold bad girl. After getting to know her he discovered she is really a girly girl.

Q: How did you get into music?
A: She always wanted to do something with music, it was never a dream to do any one thing. That is what lead her to being a dancer and now a singer.

A: Kenta describes the album as dandy sexy. Yongkook said that flower is a key point to the album.

Q: If you weren’t a singer what would you be doing?
A: Donghan would probably be doing something with Korean martial arts.
